Subject: Last show of the 2004 Sunrise Over Sea Regional Tour
Excellent gig! - the crowd was very cruisy & laid back, great bunch of people, & a very warm vibe since it was an All Ages show (no smoking or alcohol). The recording is quailty is excellent (imo), & spent 9 days processing & mastering this show. John threw in 'Take' before the encore (pee-break), which was decided on the spot. It was a sensational set: Old Man, Take, Betterman (extended), Sometimes... & 2 new songs!! Can't ask much more than that!

[Edit 2006-03-31]
There is an error in the listing of this show, the last 3 tracks are missing! They are still hosted on the server it seems to be just the listing that is wrong, so here are the links to the last few songs of this show:

Subject: Best John Butler Concert
I think i've listened to almost every john butler trio concert online & i gotta say that this is the best one! Over two and a half hours of the best music i've ever heard. I discovered John when i was on holiday in Australia in the summer & went to see him in Manchester this year in November. He's the most talented musician ever & it's a shame that he didn't get more publicity whilst he was in England. But maybe he doesn't mind cos he just loves to play music for the fun of it and it seems that he's not concerned about the fame side, which is great to see. So glad that i went to Australia because otherwise i would never have discovered such an amazing talent.

Special Guest:
Stu Hunter on keyboard/hammond organ.

Notes:
'Sunrise Over Sea' regional tour.
Recorded @ 6th row in front of left speaker stack.

A girl from the crowd got up on-stage during the percussion jam in "Home", & proceeded to dance lively & wildly. Both the crowd & the band seemed to enjoy it. At the end of the song John says: "Big round of applause for our dancer here folks". Later a 2nd 'dancer' got up on-stage at the start of "Betterman" & was swiftly removed from the stage by the crew.

Flaws:
No noticable flaws or defects throughout the show, overall a clean recording.
Fading transitions to mask changing minidisk between songs:
Peaches&Cream-Pickapart(Disk 1-2), Betterman-Zerba(Disk 2-3).
(Total: 3 minidisc's were used to record the show).
